ORDERING:
Each piece of JAPONICA jewelry is hand made to order. Please allow up to 5 days for your order to leave the studio.
Special order items normally leave the studio 2 weeks after order is received, sooner if possible.
All jewelry arrives gift boxed free of charge.
JAPONICA leather goods are shipped within 5 days of receipt of order.
JAPONICA activewear is shipped direct from our manufacturer to you. 

SHIPPING & HANDLING: 
Domestic deliveries are made using USPS Priority Mail.
International deliveries are made using USPS Priority International Mail.
International customers are responsible for all customs duties and VAT taxes imposed by the country to which the package is delivered.
Once your package has left our possession and is delivered to the United States Postal Service we can no longer assume responsibility.

SALES AND USE TAX:
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Even if we do not collect sales tax from you, you may owe sales tax on your purchase. Unless you live in Alaska, Delaware, Montana, New Hampshire, or Oregon, your state most likely requires purchasers to report and pay tax on all purchases that are not taxed at the time of sale. The tax may be reported and paid on your individual income tax return or by filing a consumer use tax return. For more information, please visit your state’s department of revenue website.
JAPONICA COLLECTS SALES TAX in states where we have physical presence (or nexus), including New York.
JAPONICA DOES NOT COLLECT SALES TAX in any state NOT listed above because JAPONICA is not required to collect sales or use tax in these states.
FOR OUR TAX-EXEMPT CUSTOMERS:
JAPONICA DOES NOT COLLECT SALES TAX if we have your exemption certificate on file.

EXCHANGES & RETURNS:
We want you to love JAPONICA.
If you are not completely satisfied please notify us within 10 days of receipt for an exchange or merchandise credit.
To do so you must contact us at returns@japonicaforever.com for an RMA (return merchandise authorization) number.
Please include this number, as well as a copy of your original invoice, with the merchandise to be returned.
All returns must be sent via insured mail. Please take care to package the item(s) carefully.
We cannot be responsible for items that are lost, stolen, or damaged during shipment. We cannot refund any shipping or handling charges.
We cannot accept any items that are not in original, unworn + saleable condition, without an RMA# or after 10 days of receipt.
Only items purchased from our online store are eligible for this return policy.
Any items purchased through our retailers are subject to individual retailer’s return policies.
JAPONICA activewear should be returned following the instructions included in your shipment.

JEWELRY REPAIRS:
Due to the limited availability of certain gemstones, lost or broken gemstones may be irreplaceable.
Please contact us at repairs@japonicaforever.com  with the nature of your repair for a quote.

DAILY CARE:
Please handle your JAPONICA jewelry, leather goods + activewear with the utmost care.

Gemstones are fragile and should be treated as such.
Sterling silver will tarnish over time, please use a soft polishing cloth when necessary.
Never use ultrasonic cleaners, dips, or abrasive cleaners on your JAPONICA jewelry.
Leather is a natural material and as such the natural range of markings are visible. With time + use, it will mature and darken giving it a rich patina.
Our leggings and activewear are made with the highest quality polyester/spandex blend.
Care should be taken when near rough surfaces and velcro fasteners as they can cause damage to the fabric. Hand wash or machine wash on gentle cycle. Line dry is recommended.
